Corona Arch lies outside the park and thus is significantly less visited, yet stands out by its shape, size and beautiful surrounding canyon. In fact its possible to walk on top and it was not very comfortably viewing some people trying to cross it.
Unplanned I spontaneously joined a group of star photographers staying at Delicate Arch after the crowd had left. I was so fascinated of the results the camera produced that I stayed beyond midnight enjoying the clear star spangled night.
I arrived Arches National Park late in the evening and after the already impressive way in this was the perspective growing my expectations of what I was about to see the three days following and spending in the park.
Delicate Arch is surely totally insane - the honored location combined with its special detached shape and nearby crater make it the most popular and outstanding arch of the park.
The red color and entrance hole shaped window of Double Arch reminds of the red planet somehow and gives a mission like impression.
Seen from Balanced Rock in Arches NP this landscape at morning time again looks totally surreal, due to the random forms of rock reaching out in the foreground and the mountain cordillera in the background. Is depicts color and shape contrast as no other shot in this collection from my point of view.
